Encounters
Making street portraits is challenging photography. At times it is boring, tiring, frustrating, and at other times it is intriguing, thrilling, and even dangerous. I shot these photographs in Fort Lauderdale, Boulder, Greece, Jamaica, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Asheville. Typically, I roam the streets, looking for interesting subjects. The difficulty is to capture a complete stranger at a moment they glance at me. At times, I capture other things as I’m waiting for a shot.
My objective is to capture a revealing moment, to show something meaningful, familiar, and universal. As human beings we are incredible in our diversity, yet similar in many ways. I hope you enjoy the work.
Soul Work Art
Your Soul may be buried under old thoughts, habits, fears and beliefs. The journey of uncovering your Soul is like excavating in a cave. It can be scary and difficult to navigate if you dont’ know the way. However there is a tremendous benefit for going in the cave and doing the work. You peel away layers that mask your true essence. You will find your power to help you create a life as you want it to be. The purpose of this journey is not to change who you are, but to become who you already are. This journey is about discovery. The deeper you go in the more you discover.
